A little snow fun....

Recently we got some more snow - surprise, surprise.  We thought we had better take advantage of it since hopefully spring is on it's way.

We went to my sister's cabin for some sledding fun.  Jake and Alexis, along with cousin Rylli, had a great time.  I declared myself as the official photographer.

Oh and did I mention we saw evidence of Big Foot while we were there:

Ok so NOT true- it was just me - trying out the snowshoes

Random Sunday

This is a scene that I often saw on my way to work this winter.  I finally decided to make sure I had my camera with me so that I could capture it again.  Lucky for me, I did see it.  Every day for about two weeks, the fog was heavy and lying low.  I loved how it was sitting on the ground but could still see the mountains peeking out from above.

Just wanted to share:

Winter has arrived

Old Man Winter made his appearance yesterday here in the country:

Lots of open fields here.  I love this look of wide open spaces without any kinds of tracks.

Couldn't resist this one.  This cat was perched down on a rock drinking from the ditch.

The trees are heavy with the snowfall.

There is something about this old barn that catches my attention everytime.

Love the look, not too fond of the icy roads though.

Happy winter to all.

Snow Day

This is what we woke up to today. It actually started in yesterday - because we usually don't get alot of snow, the city doesn't have snowplows which means the roads are usually a mess. That makes the kids happy because that meant NO school today. However, they will have to make it up - then they will complain when that time comes.
